Social Media, obviously, cannot be avoided by Internet users especially people owing business, small or big, as it provides a concrete platform for their products, services, and feedback. In 2010, it will definitely exceed our expectations and demand more of us. Though we cannot predict very accurately, we can at least be prepared to tackle the load.

And yes, i too am intuitive about the amalgamation of various social media tools as everyone will try to narrow down their sources to reach the mass. Thanks, Julius, for your suggestions.

Very good point. Probably I missed out mentioning web 3.0. It is definitely a thing to watch in 2010 and years to come.

It seems that social bookmarking is falling down to real social networks. Why to make other friends on a social bookmarking site when you can see what they are sharing your prefered social network.

I love the idea here. And I do agree with most of your points. Content will definitely play an important role in 2010. I also think that most of the social media web sites will somewhat merge together or at least that the businesses that do merge them together will be successful.
I think a lot of businesses are now realizing that they need to use social media to their advantage. That's why I think that businesses will definitely play an important role in social media in 2010.
