Your online revenue can enhance to great extent when your webpage holds several ads in it. But sometimes this idea can be a false concept also. Every time an ad-loaded website may not be a revenue-loaded one. This might be an out-of-the-box advice, but this is actually a golden tip for ad publishing that recently hit the headlines.

Users are often driven away from a webpage when they find it laden with ads. There is no doubt that ads earn you money, but you can’t put your online reputation at stake by showing innumerable ads on your webpage.

Ad network like Google’ Adsense often apply complicated algorithms to decide upon the issue of publishing ads in a specific site and how much will fee will be charged for to advertisers for every single click. Adsense utilizes the real-time system of auction that Google prescribe to show ads in the Adsense a lot in a publisher’s website.

There are several issues that are determined by Google regarding ad publishing in a website. The following issues are key factors in determining your Adsense earnings. This is exactly the selection process that Google applies for Adsense.

Publish ads on your website

You should check whether the ads published on your website are relevant to the context of the webpage. You should brain storm to find out the advertisements of services and products that can fit to the content of your website.
It is essential that you make a not of the kind of readers or visitors who are likely to come to your webpage. Keeping this in mind, try to chalk out the ads that are attractive for your visitors. This assessment is helpful as it will increase the probability of click on the ads published on your website. The type of ads that fit to this category will become the potential ads for you.

Once you have found the list of potential ads for your website, the next task is to separate out the ads that are less likely to entice a visitor for a click. Now it is the time to do a little calculation to work out if an ad, which is less likely to be clicked, could in reality earn the respective publisher more money, despite the fact that it has lower chances of getting clicked.

And after all the above calculations, it needs to be determined that whether the selected advertiser is ahead or behind the schedule for the sum of money the advertiser have been charged from their daily advertisement budget that particular day. If they’re found to stay too far ahead of the schedule, then Google’s Adsense system ignores their ads and the whole selection process starts all over again.

The above calculation may sound extremely complicated but to stay in the business and reap profit this needs to be done. You might take hours to judge in the aforementioned way but once you apply it in your online business, it will create wonders in terms of profitability.

“Catch them young” – RYLA’s motto for enhancing leadership skills

Fetching profit is the main objective of every business and I have seen firms struggling with numerous strategies to develop their business. I always put most of my attention on the development of human resources as I feel it is the pivot of any business. I take into account an entrepreneur as well when I try to read the anatomy of a business.

How often do we talk about the efficiency of an entrepreneur? A bunch of brilliant employees can yield a disappointing result in business if they are not bestowed with suitable leadership. The converse can also be true, when a firm excels with cumulative profits despite the fact that the employees of the firm are apparently average people. The trick lies in the leadership skills. I always flip through books related to leadership skills and in many occasions I have found some great advices and inspiring case histories. The recent effort taken by Rotary Youth Leadership Awards (RYLA) caught my attention.

Rotary Youth Leadership Awards (RYLA)

RYLA organized a program to impart leadership skills to student of junior schools. This event was organized during a weekend so that the students can attend it continently and was held at Pineywoods Baptist Encampment situated in Woodlake, outside Groveton.

RYLA has always shown its social commitment by its programs that aim at the betterment of the communities around the world. This program taught leadership skills to kids in their own language. The program used interesting stories to make children understand the significance of team work. As per the RYLA chairman Rhonda Herrington, students were told a story of crayon box in this program in order to make them realize the true role of team. They were told about a crayon box where color pencils don’t like staying together as they don’t each other. But they ultimately make a bond when they are used to color a picture, where they reside next to each other. Such simple stories and messages will definitely make a mark in every youngster’s mind as they will ponder over this issue. I am sure that the kinds who have attended this award program will make use of their learning in real life.

This program has gradually gained prominence since its inception in 1991.I was amaze dot read the humble beginning of RYLA program of leadership skills with just 60 participants. Today the size participants have turned to 258 junior school students. This growing interest of the students over this program definitely rest on the apt trainers. Each trainer is awarded with a scholarship of $750.

At the closing ceremony of this event, trainers ask student sot write their experience in balloons. And later on in the balloon releasing event, their experiences are read out randomly.

Link bait content can be created easily

Over the course of years of writing, I have been perfecting my art and craft. I have tried to vary my writing style and vary the tone and voice from time to time. Over time, I would like to believe that I have most definitely improved and I am at that point in time where I feel I am on the cusp of perfecting the ability to create link bait articles easily. What is a link bait article, in the first place? It’s an article that makes readers want to link back to it within their own articles or just link back to it in general. Think of it as bait for fishing, except the bait is your article and the fishes are people swimming in a sea that is the internet. A beautiful analogy, is it not?

Link bait

The thing with link baiting (if you do it well, that is) is that it allows you to build up that search rank with time. What it also means is that traffic can be targeted and attracted to your blog, especially if you write a blog that operates in a specific niche. Articles go viral because of some widespread value that they offer. This is something that people that they can’t do without and so they link back and the word spreads, like a virus. Ergo you get viral marketing, the best kind of marketing if you ask me.

Some articles are just so good that they grab you by the eyeballs from the moment you get hold of it. Think of list posts (why do you think they’re so popular?) such as “the top 5 video games of 2010” or “the worst movies of 2010” or “the 7 best sports performances that vent in vain”. These are all titles that speak out to people that are interested in this particular niche. For a blogger, that could be something like “5 essential WordPress Plugins”. Come to think of it, why haven’t I written on that yet? Now if you excuse me, I’m gonna go away and tell you which plugins you absolutely need. Excuse me while I take some time off to create link bait, would you? Just don’t be lazy and go about it the right way and you too can link bait away!

Branding strategies stars use. Case in point: Lady Gaga

I don’t know about you, but I’ve been to a few rock concerts where the opening was just plain god-awful. There is no other way to describe. I can’t put my finger on it, but it was just no enjoyable in the slightest. I had come there to listen to a band and I was instead made to listen to something that just didn’t have any chutzpah whatsoever. I wondered what it was and then realized it; showmanship. That’s what this band didn’t have. They just turned up and seemed almost…mechanical. And this lack of energy and showmanship doesn’t just matter for bands, it matters for brands too. The best branding strategies always have a bit of showmanship about them. Razzle dazzle or whatever you want to call it.

Lady Gaga

That’s what separates A-list bloggers and businesses from the decent ones. You can spot those that go the extra mile and use those few special branding strategies to mesmerize their audience. It’s why these showmen achieve the success they do. Don’t be the opening act for the rock star and don’t hang up those boots and guitars. You can be the best showman there is and be amongst the dominant players in your niche. What is showmanship, after all, except the expression of an idea or message in flamboyant and entertaining terms to a wide audience? All it boils down to is the development of a style that sets you apart from everyone else, something distinctive and unique.

Take Lady Gaga for instance (no, it wasn’t her concert that I went to. I don’t even like her that much). Born as Stefani Germanotta (Lady Gaga is such a wonderful name for a showman though, don’t you think?), she is a gifted songwriter, vocalist and pianist. Just search for videos of her early years on Youtube if you don’t believe me. But she knew she had to be different to get noticed and make it big, and so Lady Gaga was born. Now that’s what I’m talking about. For years, there was no one in the pop or rock industry with that kind of pull or charisma. Queen is the last band I can think of in that regards, and it’s no surprise that Lady Gaga draws a lot of  her inspiration from a band that included one of the ultimate showmen in Freddie Mercury.

And Gaga achieved this while having near total mastery over her craft. Don’t mistake showmanship for gimmicks; showmen are the real deal and they know almost everything (or everything) there is to know about their trade. Where they excel however is in showcasing their talents where others don’t. I have no doubt there are more talented musicians than Gaga out there. But they will never be as successful as Gaga so long as they focus solely on their craft. They need to rebrand themselves, use branding strategies that set them apart. Only them will they have the audiences eating out of their hands. And the same rule applies to you as well.
