I have some very basic problems with SEO copywriting. Many times it is seen that the focus is altogether on the keyword itself, but there isn’t nearly enough emphasis put on the content itself. Get the content right and you’ll be able to attract links and attention quite easily. Quality always shines through in the end, after all. And you can only optimize something that is functional in the first place. Where is the sense in optimizing something that is fundamentally broken to begin with?

Now though, things seem to be coming a full circle. Experts are now saying that SEO doesn’t matter any more and that you don’t need to game the system since traffic just comes. But I don’t agree with this. It is the online equivalent of a business saying that we don’t need to do marketing since the business will just happen and customers will come. You wouldn’t follow this tack for a real-time business. What makes an online business that different? Again, traffic just happens to come your way if your content is unique and of a certain quality. And you shouldn’t make it hard to find. But this might not be the right kind of traffic for you unless you’re lucky.

There has been much humming of change in Google algorithm for the last two months. And the last few weeks witnessed major change in the ranking system of Google. This will give online companies a fresh start for the competition to land on the first page of Google’s search. The new Google algorithm will track down the low quality websites in the internet and also the content farms. Content farms are termed to those companies which employ full time or part-time writers to create loads of content. This is done to increase revenue of those companies through page views by net readers. As this new Google algorithm is focusing specially over the content farms, the algorithm has been named as The Farmer.

In case my article doesn’t give a hint of a mean to capture page views, I would present the facts about this newly launched Google algorithm. The algorithm has been put into effect from February 2011. Since its launch in February, it has affected approximately 11% to 12% if the search engine queries within US. This factual statement is true enough to show that effectiveness of this algorithm. No news has been released as to when the new algorithm will be affecting search queries in other parts of the world.

The websites that are highly damaged due to this Google algorithm are those which run after absolute monetizing through their content loaded pages. By now several article distribution sites to search for content farm articles. Special scrutiny will be performed by Google on those sites where apart from content abundant ads are posted.

Creating unique and high quality content that will provide handy information to readers is the only route to escape. So start writing and stop copying.
