People with the thought that Google AdSense is a quick way to reach the tip of prosperity are not rare. Most people who are into internet marketing online business are driven by this thought and for them AdSense is an easy moneymaking machine. But in reality it is just a way to monetize blogs and content websites in a profitable way. My explanation might again put back the same thought of get-rich-quickly scheme. However, it is not exactly gaining money from Gene Pool lottery. Making money with Google AdSense is not just pasting an ad on your website or blog. You need to ensure that sufficient amount of traffic folk at the blog or content website. Only then the making money with AdSense is possible.

Blogging is an enjoying experience and it is much of fun to write in a personal blog. You don’t need to think much about making a blog and what to write in it. Writing in a blog involves writing about the field you have mastered in. It can be a hobby, or a profession or a subject of your choice. There are sites which offer certain money for every click on the content you have created and put up for the respective site. This offered money is a certain percentage of Google AdSense income. These types of websites are now plenty in the internet and many sites offer a 50-50 sharing of revenue.

Finally, one more way of earning from AdSense in parked websites. If an individual has a domain name but he has not yet built a website for it, then he has the option of creating parked web page. This parked web page can be used then for earning AdSense revenuer through the traffic that arrives there. But not much of revenue is generated from it. However, it can offer a good exposure whatsoever.

Adsense can be an amazing tool for bloggers. I have set it to show image and text ads that are displayed in 250×300 windows and it works well provided I end up blending it into the whole site design. There’s no point in having those ads stick out like a sore thumb, is there? Their referral programs aren’t that big of a deal for me, but their regular ads still do the job just fine and are a dominant chunk of my earnings.

Affiliate Programs

All of the affiliate programs I have run at some point or the other add up to a nice chunk of money. Individually, they don’t count for much. Together, they are far more significant though. The thing is that I try to pick out affiliate programs that aren’t lousy though. There’s no point in trying to promote something you don’t believe in yourself. Most of these affiliate programs are of such a high quality that they don’t seem to cheapen themselves and I have even had readers mail me and thank me for putting up the recommendation. I think that’s the biggest validation I could have received.

E-books

At one point, when I was looking to grow my income, I realized I wasn’t selling anything of my own at all. Most of my proceeds were fractions of what was being passed on to those whose products or ads were being showcased on the site. That’s when I set about making e-books for myself. While the price tag on most of these e-books is not colossal (and it never will be), they add up to a lot over months and have quickly grown into a key part of the income I receive from the blog. The one mistake I did make was not making a proper announcement or product launch for these e-books. But I do see my income stream expanding from e-books, and it is something I’d advocate for everyone.

I wouldn’t say all the blogs, but most bloggers want to make money from what they write about. One of the easiest ways to earn from a blog is advertising. It may be either through Adsense or getting direct ads. However, it is sometimes difficult to find direct advertisers, especially when your blog is in its initial stages.

So, what do you do? How do you find direct advertisers? Here are few ways to get ad deals from sponsors directly.

1.    Google Your Topic

Enter the topic you blog about in Google and see what comes up, and what are the ads that appear on the right top corner of the results page. These are the advertisers you must contact as they certainly have funds to spend on online marketing. The only thing they are looking for is more exposure on the web.

2.    Check Your Competitor’s Blogs

Check who are the sponsors advertising on your competitors’ blogs. These sponsors need blogs with similar topic. They definitely don’t want to place their ads in other area. Hence, the always look for more options in same area. For instance, you write a blog about stock market updates. You need to visit other blogs that share the same topic. You will find many advertisers in your niche area.

3.    Know About the Affiliate Programs

Earning money through affiliate marketing is a bit different from getting advertisements. However, these affiliate providers might want to advertise on your blog. So, find out about all affiliate programs in your niche and contact them for ads. You will definitely receive some.

4.    Contact Advertisers In Classifieds

Grab a local newspaper or a magazine and check who are advertising in it. Identify the ones that would suit your blogs and ring them up. You must, however, call up the ones with bigger ads as they would have a bit higher budget than others. This method may or may not work. However, I believe, if you call up many advertisers, you would definitely get few ads sponsors.

5.    Contact New Online Businesses

You can Google about new businesses that has recently entered you niche area. This time, instead of focusing on right corner, look into the search results. I would suggest contact new business especially the ones that rank lower than you. They would agree to place ads on your site as it means more traffic to their sites. New websites, in particular, would be more interested in your offer.

While talking to these advertisers, you will need to keep one thing in mind: if your blog isn’t attracting much traffic yet, you cannot ask for a high-priced ad. After you have achieved good ranking, you can increase the asking price.

I can not believe my eyes at this point of time guys. 3 Checks which were suppose to come at my door step before 2.5 to 3 months have finally come after continuous follow up with Kontera Technologies accounts department for a long time. According to accounts team those checks had been mailed on time but cause of some goof up by the postal authority this problem has occurred. But Finally problem is over that is HUGE news for me & now it’s time to celebrate this awesome occasion where i have earned 5 Digit $$ income for the month of September 2009 which includes Kontera + Google Adsense.  Recently i have got the check of $$1032 from kontera before few days.

This Income of $8621 is result of 10 Projects which i had started side by side, while i was working on Travel Niche and decided to start 2 HUGE Travel Portals. These 10 project also have very HIGH Paying Niche as far as Adsense & Kontera both are concerned. Niches on which i build websites consists of Gadget Reviews, Pregnancy & Child care, Parenting, Breast Cancer, Unique Travel Destinations of the world, 100 Places to see before you Die, Car Reviews etc etc. At this point of time all the websites are running only Kontera & now after getting such a HUGE money i am thinking of testing Adsense on it, just to make perfect money making websites.
