Find more clients on Twitter through these three simple steps

Let me start by telling you that I am a big fan of content marketing just like all the readers of this blog. Good quality content is really important for selling well on the Internet. You should put in time to write authoritive and useful articles which provide real value for your potential customers and you are half way to your bank before the clients land up on your Website. Of course, you shouldn’t use just one technique for getting more clients. It is really important that you research more and come up with your own dough. After you have started putting great content, the next step is to attract clients and here are my three bits on how to do that.

After content marketing, Twitter is my next best bet for getting more clients.

Step one:
Twitter

I click in my Hootsuite dashboard (this is available on Twitter console too).

Step two:

I look for phrases which match the services that are offered by me. I then comb through results and then find tweets which match guys who are looking for my services.

Step three:

I then click blogs from the tweets which match with my criteria and do one of these – 1) leave comments 2) Submit message through contact form 3) Send e-mail if address is listed.

That is all I do and have had great success to date. I’ve got more clients this way as compared to content marketing. Having good quality meaning full content will increase your chances of clients signing up with you. Content is always the king.

I got this technique from a newspaper piece in which the article was discussed about a business owner who tried using blog posts for getting more clients. He was having a really bad time with it and wasn’t getting a lot of clients. Thus he gave up content marketing thinking that it is too demanding. On the other hand, I just picked up the good parts from this article and didn’t stop content marketing because for me, it is one of the best tools.

Most popular internet marketing mistakes

Online business runs completely on the marketing strategy that runs exclusively on the web. There are cases when even a slightest mistake in the online business can draw away the traffic from the site. I have listed up some common yet mostly undiscovered internet marketing mistake that online business owners often commit.

Many online business houses succumb to their urge of making their website too beautiful than the rest. And while doing so they end up making their website so heavy that it takes two minutes time to load.

Internet marketing

Internet marketing is supposed to make life move quickly and the slow loading of graphics or lousy speed of your server can make the website really abominable and traffic will move away easily.

It is mistake to suppose that all the users are having the latest version of any program. For example some users may not have Macromedia Flash even today. And if you use the program in your website it will surely be a draw back for your online business as some of the pats of website will remain blocked.

Many online business keep their website same day after day and they go fallow. If you have a website where you have the scope of offering marketing content then try to stay updated with current information. Don’t keep on promoting an offer that has expired two months back. For this reason keep a constant update of your website and don’t get into the habit that brick-and-mortar business do; make website and forget.

Viral marketing is mostly heard by inline businessmen and used less. Using social media for the viral marketing purpose is a good idea and sufficient amount of time should be devoted for the viral marketing of the content rather than promoting it through emails.

The cyberspace as offered easy information to all and all too often I find my friends clicking through materials that offer knowledge on several topics. Many of my friends are engaged in online business, which are of small size, and they are desperate to make money online. Affiliate marketing has fetched them a fair position in the online business but they keep reading more about affiliate marketing business to make their foothold stronger than before. The reward of reading cannot be overlooked but overdose of reading can also become harmful. This is true in case of affiliate marketing business.

Affiliate marketing business

I have seen people learning to the level when it annihilates the purpose of knowledge gathering. It is true that knowledge can open the tangles in any subject, but learning cannot be that long so that a person cannot even get he scope to apply it.  At some point of time the strategies leant needs to be applied.

The information on the web keeps updating every day and in some cases like media and news it is every second. One needs to accept that there is a learning curve and ever one learns according to it. Naturally too much of reading will make a person encounter the problem of when to start.  This is a potential problem with all the net readers who are constantly exposed to newer updates in a field.

In many occasions, net readers get trapped in the reading spree and even after setting up their affiliate marketing business they keep on applying newer strategies every single day. This whimsical nature arises out of over learning. On has to oblige to the fact that a strategy applied today cannot give result tomorrow. So one has to wait with patience and see the end result instead of changing it every now and then.

Whoever is a over learner and is reading my blog, my earnest request to all of them is to start of right now. Learning in your case is just procrastination and not a weapon to make more money in your business.

Make money blogging, for real

Almost everyone that has ever blogged as an amateur has done so because they want to make money blogging. There’s nothing wrong with that at all, because you’re not alone. You know who doesn’t like making money? A communist. But bad punchlines aside, an increasing number of bloggers are discovering that you can make money blogging since blogging is now a very successful medium. The amount of money you can make differs. For some, it’ll be enough to set up a live sportscast, for some it will be a nice stream of passive income. For others, it will be enough to make it a part-time or even a full-time job. Thousands of bloggers make money blogging, and you too can be one of them.

Allow me to mention my choice techniques to make money blogging, and I will try to update this topic, if not this post, regularly. Remember one thing though; every blog is unique in its own way and each will have different ways to make money for you. Some of these tips will work better with some sites than others and the key is to figure out what works for you. I earn a very steady stream of income from blogging, and I hope it can be the same for you too.

Make money blogging

Adsense

Adsense can be an amazing tool for bloggers. I have set it to show image and text ads that are displayed in 250×300 windows and it works well provided I end up blending it into the whole site design. There’s no point in having those ads stick out like a sore thumb, is there? Their referral programs aren’t that big of a deal for me, but their regular ads still do the job just fine and are a dominant chunk of my earnings.

Affiliate Programs

All of the affiliate programs I have run at some point or the other add up to a nice chunk of money. Individually, they don’t count for much. Together, they are far more significant though. The thing is that I try to pick out affiliate programs that aren’t lousy though. There’s no point in trying to promote something you don’t believe in yourself. Most of these affiliate programs are of such a high quality that they don’t seem to cheapen themselves and I have even had readers mail me and thank me for putting up the recommendation. I think that’s the biggest validation I could have received.

E-books

At one point, when I was looking to grow my income, I realized I wasn’t selling anything of my own at all. Most of my proceeds were fractions of what was being passed on to those whose products or ads were being showcased on the site. That’s when I set about making e-books for myself. While the price tag on most of these e-books is not colossal (and it never will be), they add up to a lot over months and have quickly grown into a key part of the income I receive from the blog. The one mistake I did make was not making a proper announcement or product launch for these e-books. But I do see my income stream expanding from e-books, and it is something I’d advocate for everyone.
