Lot of people ask me if they need to be picky while selecting jobs online. Being a writer, it might be easy for you to take on any job that is offered because you are just improving your resume of writing online and are trying to get your name out there. This seems all fine but there is a need to draw a line.

If you are struggling with something and are finding it hard to complete a job then probably you should quit. One cool thing about online work is that there are a lot of people who can substitute you. I am not saying that you should quit your online job the minute you get frustrated or upset while trying to complete anything but there has to be a line drawn somewhere and you should decide this line.

One thing that I can suggest you is that you should finish the work that you have taken and then talk to your client. Tell him you feel that there might be someone else who is more qualified to do the work. They might be able to help you with the work and teach a few tricks of trade.

You don’t even need to get that far. If you are uncomfortable with the job in the initial stages; then you can leave it there itself. You don’t have to start working instantly just because someone wants to hire you. There are plenty of companies trying to hire freelance writers so you can be picky about what you want.

When you are first working online, you might find it hard to pass jobs just because you are trying to sink in your foot. Also, you might like to try different jobs to see what you like the most. I was too taking all kinds of jobs when I first started working from home. I let my employers know that “I haven’t done this kinda work before but I’d like to try and you can hire me if I meet your expectations.”

I have been upfront and honest and it has given me great results to date. Some might argue that it isn’t a professional way of getting things done but then I don’t care because things have worked for me that way. I like to be honest 100% while working with anyone and I am not just saying this to make myself sound better to you. Believe me, honesty will take you a long way while working with people who you won’t see face to face everyday. It helps in building a trust and bond which can last for a long time.

It is great when clients come knocking on your doors; all you need to do is hand over a quote and start writing after sending freelance writing contract. But sometimes, you need to go hunting for them. People may not know that they need you and hence you need to approach the situation with some skill.

Hunt for the clients that you want

Look around for people that you want to work with. There are people who are looking for freelance writers and there are also people who are willing to spend money on freelance writers. People like private tutors, Web designers, doctors, and lawyers know that written words are precious and will be willing to hire you for generating more revenue for them. This is a win-win situation for both of you.

Go on the Internet and look for professionals in your area. There are some people who just want to deal locally and you can use your hometown as an icebreaker.

You can ask your friends if they know any professionals in their families.

Reach out for getting in touch with them

Not literally and certainly not lawyers. But you can contact them for letting them know that you are there and willing to help. You will need to make a phone call or send a mail but don’t be discouraged about this. The worse thing that can happen is that they will say no or they won’t answer at all. On the other side, you might end up with a lot of money if you get the contract. If this is just one amongst those 50 emails or phone calls, it is totally worth it.

Friendly and short emails can do wonders. You can start with something like ‘Hi, I went through your Website while surfing the Internet and wanted to tell you that I am a copywriter just in case you need my services’.

Don’t get nervous about calling people. In worst case scenarios, you will end up learning flowery new language if you are interrupting during lunch. Just call up the guy and tell him that you are a writer. Also tell him that you have some experience that will help him in growing the business.

They might ask you for samples straight away so be prepared about this. You can simply fire up an email showing them what you can do. Keep your freelance writer resume updated.

If you have a Website, make sure that it is fashionable and upto date. People do peep to check in and if it looks bad, then they certainly won’t have any faith in you.

Branding yourself or your company is not easy, it take efforts to make your mark in the industry by serving good quality products or services. When you want to create a brand in front of your users you are actually trying to engrain a certain image in their minds so that they will recollect it when they are out shopping in similar lines we are going to discuss few of such things to create your online brand. I have seen many users often changing their nick names or company names or creating 4 to 5 accounts in one single networking site, this is completely wrong, how can you expect people to remember you with different names and images every time they log in so make sure to start using the same user name and the profile picture in whatever social networks you register to.

Consistency is one thing you have to maintain if you are really keen on creating your brand image in front of your readers. If you are planning to use different services then stick by the same user name you did for the last site and also remember to use the same for your messengers too. This will help people remember you as some company they talked with last time and having the same email addresses as your user name gives an added benefit as it becomes easier to recollect it while mailing.

If you have selected to write name in particular style then stick by it, for example, if you write “ThriLLer” then make sure every time you type in your user name you type it in similar lines. By this I want to tell you that you have to maintain the alphabet consistency. Post the

same profile picture for the all the networking sites, if you have put some company logo then match it the same way in all of the profile networks. It is best advised to have your company logo as other users will remember the logo better than the face. Some networking site allows you to have your custom made template that will help to build your brand, so if you are creating some attractive template with company design logo at the back and also including some elements of your company this will give you an extra personality. The same template can be used for other networks that permit custom designs.

If you are the one always sending in emails it is best to format a good email signature so every time you send mails the signature is added automatically at the end of the mail. This will help you to be consistent in every email that steps out of your mailbox. Make your presence felt in all the networking platforms, the prime most important is having a proper website designed with a professional mail address. If you have just started off, then you need to learn a lots of things about networking, you can select your niche by deciding on the topic which you like the most and then proceed ahead with joining the similar networks that will help you develop your skills.

Everybody starts business with the aim of making profits and not all of them succeed in their first endeavors, for some business may be a dream and they achieve their dreams while for some its just an idea which they try if they are successful in it. I have in my experiences noticed one aspect for the people who succeed in whatever they do, is it a sheer hard work or the luck factor that works? You might well say it’s the combination of both, but I would say its 100% on the work that you put in to achieve your goals. According to me, sometimes it’s just the peer pressure that drags you in this game of online business. Your partner makes his business online so do you feel the urge to do the same although you might have nil knowledge about it but you still do it but it is not going to be successful unless you make any efforts to do SEO for your site or join some social networks or get some interaction going with people, no one is going to come to your site like that. You have to have full knowledge of the field you are entering in to, once you are starting your blogging business there are few things the bloggers keep in mind like updating the page of its fresh content on a daily basis, joining social networks, commenting on the sites, replying to the comments, etc.

Success occurs only when a person has given 100% percent to it, if you set up everything, hold the online staff, kept the best of products in your online business store but unless you advertise your products who will come to your online store. Its fact that you can reach much wider audience through online store but its not going to make any point if you cant reach out to people. Here are few of the things or reasons that might be an add on factors which will lead to business failure:

Some people try making money out of something they are totally unaware about, as I mentioned earlier too, people see if someone is doing and making good money out of it then why not I also do the same even if he has no knowledge about it. When you do something without any ground knowledge or research, you are surely going to fail in your endeavor. If you are serious of making money through it then give your best attempts and make sure you know how to play the game.

Businesses are developed on some planning, and that planning and creativity needs lots of passion and interaction amongst the team players, if you lag in this than you stand nowhere in the competition. To be good and best at things you have to create that passion and money will pour in automatically.

Have a determined nature to achieve what you want to achieve in life, be confident in whatever field you may want to excel but do it whole heartedly. Stay by your decisions and don’t change them often, if you are having hard time then have patience and troubles will get solved automatically. If you want success then you will have to overcome the stepping-stone to the path of success, nothing comes easy, give your hard work and yield the fruits later.

Grab the best of knowledge you can to start with your online business, don’t leave a stone unturned to start with your business, if you are truly determined to make it big in this niche then you will have to search the path yourself. Having base knowledge about the field you are working in is important especially when you are just starting the business, as you progress ahead you will gain more knowledge.

You have to be a fighter if you truly want to achieve success in life, if you feel something is going wrong then take steady steps to improve upon it without further delays, which can worsen the situation. Believe in yourself and excel ahead.

Gone are the days when designs used to be just limited to simple graphics or templates, today changing times have bought more innovations and techniques through which designs are developed some are supported with textual graphs and yet others with articulated alphabets. Today designs just don’t sell with a simple paint or a stroke of a brush, there needs to be lots thinking and a theme attached to your designs that will make up a selling idea for a marketer. You must have well recollected the days when your professor used to shout at you for letting loose your typed words while creating your designs for the project, placing an hierarchy is very important for it soothes your design in a prominent manner.

There are times when your creative brain is saying something else while the demands made from your manager is something else and in the end you just let go your wishes and do what your manager says, but that is what client demands, today customers are looking for absolute difference in their ads theme and that of competitors to stand out alone in the market. You must have well noticed how your client asked you to put some words bigger just to stress at that very important point while making a marketing ad, its just all much more than colors or the layout of the design, it’s the text that matters, with professionals in the field typography is in great demand. We all know the importance of ad making, a little bit of mistake can mar your whole project and thus the type treatments should be very carefully done with ease, it doesn’t matter even if takes more time to build a particular advertisements.

Now let’s discuss a few points regarding the logos and its different types that can be used in your designing purpose to state it clear let me give you an example which will make my point more clear, if someone is marketing a product then there has to be an idea behind it that will be named as good as its features lets take the case of the word “diamond red” this word means something that is strong, shining and sturdy, a connotation like this goes well in advertising campaign, not just this it gives a brand impression to the readers or on-lookers.

Now some might feel that this word as I said “diamond red” would not go well in the market, some may portray it as jewelry rather some may take it as the actual meaning what we are trying to say, and yet some may have something out of the world meaning for this, the word connotes a strong combination of the color and something that is diamond like, precious and rare. If we use the word “diamond red” to advertise for a car, the public might simply mean you are trying to sell them only red colored cars, the type faces in ads should be done up with reason, unless you are thinking a smart ad for a smart audience.

There may be different type faces or colors which might be used for the word “diamond red”, and it could be possible that the color red is not used anywhere at all so the audience might feel the grin that something is a miss here, but they fail to understand one thing that the word is trying to portray a feeling of something which is rare, precious, hot as the color red, etc. this is for smart audience to understand and if the ads are done up in a proper way I don’t understand the reason why this ad should fail, it is surely going to click the audience head straight in their minds so next time they are in market, they will understand the product is something which is rare, strong, and forever and of course remembering its hot natured colors.

While you are reading this blog, I have created especially for the starters in the field so that they well understand their future challenges, its very important to study your audience, the way they think, the way they will have an effect on something which is said, etc. when you use words like “sparkling, sharp, diamond, blue, red, beautiful, etc.” remember that it is sending out a strong message to the receivers of the message. When you make use of a proper logo in your ads, the viewer of the ad will well understand the meaning behind you portraying it in a particular manner, the color, the text, the script are of uttermost importance while creating your ads.

Along with the text and colors and face type, the layout is equally important as it gives a full meaning to your ads, the background, its color, the theme plays an important role in designing the color and the page. The type treatments are important from a layout point of view as it is going to determine the whole meaning to the ad system. There has to be a focus point in your ads which will encourage your audience to read further your advertisements or get tempted to buy your products. You have to set your priorities while you are sitting for a design, the content, the design, the layout, the face type, the body color is what all matter in creating an innovative advertisement.

Sometimes it so happens, that even after designing fantastic design, color and themes for ads at the end the audience don’t understand, and let them be searching for bits of information, they struggle to find the actual meaning behind your ads so it doesn’t make a point in you giving of so much of hard work, they will rather find other ads which will appeal to them rather than wasting their time in trying to understand what you are saying. Your marketing messages should be straight, with clarity, and the message shouldn’t be messy, if there is something that you will make your ad look complex, or sound complex while reading it than don’t hesitate to omit it after all let going your hard work is much less then loosing your client completely.

When you collect information for your ads, make sure to use the best which you could find, don’t just include all that you gathered for there are chances that you could make your ad look bigger and fatty. The best of information can be used in few lines that will set out a strong and clear message without consuming their time. Using the correct type of fonts, message and design is a strong indicator that your ad is going to succeed in the market and it will create the visual interest in your audience, don’t copy or steal your competitor’s idea that is not going to give you good information in the market.

May whatever be your project, your logo design, the font type, the look, the layout that you are using in logos or brochures or newspapers, set your objectives before setting out on starting to design or making a theme. Create a strong, peaceful and no-offensive message that will set out the world on roll and select the text that is easy to read from a distance too. The most important of them all, the typography that you use will make much of a difference to your ads along with the designing part and graphics too.

Many people are of the opinion that when you are already in to a corporate ladder why you need a resume, after all resumes are meant for those seeking jobs in a company, some may say it’s a thing of the past and yet many freelancers are of opinion that they don’t require it at all. Although the fact is that they are many more advantages of a resume then you really think of, a Resume is a personal database which states your experiences, your qualifications, your achievements, etc. it’s a quick profile which your employers or clients can see and decide on the future of dealings.

There have been lots of debates happening here and there, arguments over whether resumes are a must or are they really needed for any assignments, from my point of view, as an experienced person I had say you need a resume if you really looking to impress your clients and for all those of our freelancer friends I would like to state that they would require them to apply for gigs. If you are having a fully fledged resume with all the details about yourself and the company over your website then its more likely that your clients will get interested in you and may go on to read more on your website. There have been many freelancers who are of the opinion that if their businesses are well built they don’t need any such documents to persuade their clients but having resumes helps you to build your reputation and helps to set your own brand, having a professional resume over the site is of great advantage.

New times have bought new changes, the way we write a resumes a decade back were different than what today’s resumes demand and many of our new age free lancers don’t understand the new rules of writing a resume there are many tricks to write a resume through which your clients would be attracted towards you, I have stated some of the methods through which you can learn to write a very powerful winning resume. It doesn’t matter whether you are working for someone or you are not going to apply for any new job in the future having a company’s powerful profile is important for yourself and the company.

The main thing what today’s resume demands is a profile more than what objectives you might be having, objectives have become a thing of the past with more demands and even more supply you have to get your resume right on the top to make it look different from the rest. Create a profile which is really powerful, its different from that of your objectives, profiles are focused more on your professional front and speaks of what you have to offer.

Let me give you a brief idea of what all things your profile should speak about:

Write a resume

Make sure to write a resume in a clear language, we know that creative writing sales, the power packed economy wants people with innovative minds your resume will speak a lot about you and that it will boost your sales too. Along with your image it will increase the reputation of your company and consumers will start taking keen interest in the products you are selling. Your resume should be easily interactive and the one which is communicative leader in the market takes the whole market, in your resume you can include the company profiles of the people you have dealt with and also the company’s achievements, etc. focusing on the aspects that will impress your clients is important just don’t boost any if you haven’t achieved, state the facts and figures.

While writing a resume, state the best attributes about you, add interesting facts first that will let your clients read further, adding some meat to your profiles makes it more data filled. Don’t make obvious statements about you like that “I am a strong worker”, let your client decide on that. Highlight the things you want them to know through easy language not sounding that of a booster, if you are a good speaker than you can practically explain your points when asked in an interview.

Don’t go on writing a resume just to make it look bigger with pages that will bore your clients, state in a short and sweet language that your client gets a detailed about you and your company just by having a quick glance at the resume. Write the matters that relate to you and what all things you have achieved in your career. If you are having experience in varied fields then state them as your interests and that you are capable of multi-tasking in development, design, programming, etc. as a company person you can also state the services that your company provides and the objectives that your company has achieved. Once you have made your aim to write a refreshing company profile, adding your qualities there is one thing you can add up is to add some important key words regarding the work you do.

You must have seen many a company profiles which includes the key words that are most sought after in search engines, this will help you to rake up the demand on famous search websites. You can include all those services you are serving and other new items which you have included in your company sales, etc. the applications and technologies that you are using in your company may be a good indicator to your clients regarding the work that you are doing.

One very important thing to note here is may whatever you write or wherever you write whether on blog or company profiles or ads or emails, write in as a third person. You can leave your comments or suggestions.

As the world is getting more globalize, it has created more jobs for the people especially for the ones with specific qualifications, if you are in any particular field, say IT, then there would be sub categories in that field and professionals are trained to specialize in those sub-categories, such is the market demand for professionals, we see people are being sent to different nations for training or job purposes or called over by companies for temporary purpose, etc. As today’s market are more demanding, the rules have become more stricter but at the same time there have been lots of manipulation happening all over, you never really know if the company exists at all, who is calling you abroad to join in their workforce. Recently I came across a thread over Internet where there was a special topic on how to ask for referrals to your new clients, it is true, whomever you do business with, you never really know the reputation unless you have heard of them before, there have been many such instances, where people feel a bit hesitant especially dealing with their new clients, what if they are offended is a big question?

People are often stuck in a similar types of situations where they really don’t know where to stop, what to ask for, and when to say? Given below are some of the points that might help you overcome your stigma, perhaps learning from your weaknesses will help you out to stand out from the crowd, don’t get desperate when you are looking for a job, or asking for any client’s information should be the norm.

Choose the best time – as you understand the importance of time you will know how to get things by speaking at the perfect time. You have to have in your mind the things you want to get done to sell your products. There was this one very interesting incident which happened recently at one of the dinner parties I had been, there was one lady guest here who was designing beaded necklace and before any one knew it she was out displaying her designs and went on her sales pitch to sell her neck pieces. She obviously had some good collections personally designed by her but this was not the right time when everybody had come to meet each other, she dint sell anything that night then. In similar cases, if you feel that you strongly need to sell then most you could do is to ask for their business card and contact them later.

Be proactive always when you are dealing with your clients that will help you in longer run. Don’t just dig into your client to set up a new client network instead you can suggest your friend about the requirements in office if you come across one. Or you can drop a congratulatory note for your client’s wife who has just delivered. If you hit upon an interesting articles you can forward it to your friends and let them know about the new network. Try to build up the goodwill with them and later ask for favors you want to get done.

Don’t settle or compromise for less, I know you have longing so long for work but that doesn’t mean you have to do everything and anything, resist the urge to say your would be employee that you can do anything for them. For supporting yourself for a while the least you could do is to start freelancing that will help you financially till the time you get some good job. If you are a true professional you will get the job you have been looking for, many people out of desperation start doing jobs they actually don’t want to do when they are having much more qualifications. You don’t need to beg for the job that you want, talk to your employee what specifically you are looking for, join social networks where you will meet people and they might help you join the company needing you.

When you are talking to the company officials don’t get bogged down by too much requests like “can I have a little time of yours” or “I hope it isn’t too much I am asking for”, etc. no one is bound by any obligations to help you, its up to the people whether they really want to help you in what you want to achieve. Don’t make your clients or friends feel awkward to tell you NO for the request, it can be possible that they are really busy or cant take out time for you.

Don’t forget to show gratitude towards what someone has done for you, don’t forget to thank them. Your clients will appreciate you for giving them a creative thank you there are many ways through which you can thank your clients. You can send them a cake during their birthdays, or sent out a holiday tour voucher, or shopping vouchers, you can also show them gratitude by returning their favors this way you can maintain good steady relationships with your clients and also the business partners.

You can add up your comments or suggestions or any tips you had like readers to read. Your comments are invited and do write what you feel about the things I have written.

Remember the jobs that of freelancers, one had link all these freelancers to procrastinators but do you have a valid reason as to terming them in this manner, may be due to a lack of a more better name they forcibly had to use this stupid name. We very well know the amount of effort a marketer puts in selling his single product, or rather perfecting those all marketing skills or materials or even buying a office space to call its own or to gather a number of clients to start up with. So many books are published in regards to marketing but somehow in a midway we see our path turning towards a different end the best solution to this is to become someone like Jim Koch. Mr. Jim Koch is a founder of the Boston Beer company, after inventing his company once he was talking to one of his wealthy relative who happened to be one of his investors in the company, Koch was continuously discussing about the computer system which would keep a proper track record of the sales in the company, one interesting episode happened here, the relative asked him whether he does have any sales to boost for? Now here was a big question of one’s reputation if some investor is asking about the progress of the company.

Well what answer would Jim would have given to this interesting question, well as the said fact, he said no, not yet, to this the Investor was quite astonished and so he urged Jim to go out and sell because he would obviously expect returns on his investment. So Jim went all out donning his business unit to a bar and prepared for conversation with employee there but as the fate would have it, the employee dint understand the English language and seeing this confusion there the boss came over so Jim started having a word with him and went gaga over his sales and offered a beer sample to the boss, he liked it and ordered some cases and that was when the Boston Beer started and brewer of Samuel Adams went on its success path.

To a few of us, when we start with our own business unit we might not have a wealthy relative advising us to go for sales and recoup with the investment, the fact is we might not have anyone nagging us to go and make sales. As sometimes it so happens you can feel the pain of someone but you cannot do anything about it as you don’t have any deadlines set nor you have anyone nagging over you. There are lots of things you need to keep in mind while selling, your one small mistake can create lots of other problems in marketing your main target is your customers and the motive is selling by hook or by crook. Different people will suggest you different things relating to marketing you have to check with your inner potential whether you can really do it or no, varied questions arise like what you are heading to, or going to do, or what suggestions you have in your mind for others the final question I ask you is who is ideal client, do you have any set conceptions about your client?

If you give a straight forward answer to this question I can understand you might have and be sure about your clients, your IDEAL clients, but unless you are truly sure of this question don’t proceed ahead with your official engagements. If you are looking to find an answer to this question you can refer the ideal Client Profile which discusses and have listings about varied articles relating to client’s profile. Think over your company products and the ways in which you can persuade your clients into buying them, for selling your products its not necessary to have that perfect looking website, when you have enough specific content for selling you need not worry about anything. You have to get prepared to give a perfect shoot out so that your clients agree to you at first go.

Be creative is very important from a company’s point of view as yours is just not the only product being sold in the market, there are your competitors who might be selling the similar products at lesser prices and portraying them to be the best. When you use simple logic into selling your products you will get straight to the winning spree, find out what differentiates your product from theirs, you can write emails, start with creative nodes that will inspire your clients into reading your mails further and get interested in your products. Markets everywhere are getting globalize, and business opportunities are flying everywhere for people belonging to different age groups, different genres and professional qualifications. Now what we were discussing earlier about Jim Koch, if you too have to sell beer out in the market after a little bit of efforts you will again need a beer, I will get to that point later.

When you are out in the market for selling, you would not always get a good deal you may have to hear a “No”, which probably may dampen your spirits, but when you are in a global list of sellers such things are going to come your way. Like I earlier said, you can feel the pain but no one can do anything about you, and sometimes you yourself cannot do any thing about it. There have been lots of experiences in my life which I would term as natural ones, I have many times got a “No” for a sale and in between I sometimes got some “Yes” too. Today businesses have got much more exposure than it got a decade back and markets has shown positive signs towards its growth.

You can well imagine how it feels when thousands of people turn you down; one stage comes in life where you are totally careless about the outcome and you are fearless like never before because already you have gone through the bad phases and now you are bold enough to face anything in life and you might have few occasions in life which you would have thought would never happen in your life like meeting CEOs of some multinationals and there can be a possibility to strike a great good deal. Now this is from a long term point of view, for now you will have to start talking to people on various modes like phones, emails, conferences, personal selling, etc.

Now such efforts are not working out, then you can start putting your ads in google or some famous resource where you will get noticed. You can start putting your profiles on various networking sites which will let your business get noticed, go out and meet out people and get your products selling in market through clients, business colleagues or prospects. Be a speaker always and see how frequently you start making sales, so start taking actions today and build a huge business you always desired. Yeah, and sometimes don’t forget to take yourself out for a beer party and do reward yourself for your achievements, don’t procrastinate, do it now this is the only time to work, start it today.

Ways to market your products & services

Increasing knowledge base of customers and people across nations have left wider choices not only in the products they use but also at the professional front, the globalizing economies have bought the world closer then initially thought after. There are so many specific professional courses available across continents catering to specific industries may it be clothing, share marketing, gold selling or medicals, the choices are just expanding by the day and its become all the more beneficial for freelancers alike because they can opt for the field of their choice and work as per their conveniences, and choices. Marketing is one such vast field which has many takers, although it’s a very challenging field it has loads of perks and incentives for a truly dedicated professional, it has gained lots of momentum in the recent past with marketing professionals in great demand worldwide, the developed and developing nations of the world may develop products, designs, etc. but in the end they require marketers to market their products, there is where the role of professionals come in.

There is a great joy in working for a specific niche, lets take an example that of a marketer, as the field is so vast and so much in demand it makes a lot of sense to become a freelancer. To build up a reputation of your own is easy but to maintain it is difficult, for if you become a freelancing designer tomorrow, you wouldn’t be bound by any company rules and also that you can do multiple projects at a time without any obligations. At the very start it may sound a little tough, but as you go on creating your specific niche, you become master of things, and focusing on them will let you gain client’s respect and confidence. The best way to attract customers to you is to be accessible, the more you are accessible to them the more they will come to you, given below are some of the things which will help you get to your prospective buyers easily.

Joining a local industrial group is one option of great help, most of the times we see there are individual groups or organizations catering to people of different professionals, and whoever the client requiring services can contact those groups directly, this becomes easier for both the groups. Some organizations have no limitations to the number of members joining the group or whether if you are affiliated to any other group of companies. As a freelancer you have the power to write the sales copy for one unique dealer and also can join other similar groups who are into such profession.

You can make your work famous or you as a freelance professional by organizing a newsletter of your own which caters to your particular niche. The main objective should be to get your name listed amongst your prospective clients and that can be done by sending a newsletter to your customers. You can create your reputation by helping them with useful business tips or helping them get a contract. If your clients are net savvy than you can even send out regular emails to them and get yourself connected to them on a regular basis.

Start attending industrial conferences, this in one way helps you to your own benefit as you learn different things and come across wider clients or prospective buyers to talk to. You may not be in a position to attend world conferences as they might sound a bit expensive, attending regional or national conference or even attending a meet next door can be of great help. Focus on your objectives and don’t get carried away by other people’s perceptions or thinking.

Focus on your portfolio, it shouldn’t matter to you to the number of clients you have in your kitty, you go on giving your quality services to them without any expectations. Even if you don’t have the number of clients ideally it should have been you keep your portfolio the same as to the number of services you were providing to your clients relating to making or designing of websites or for that matter even a business card.

Study the industry you belong to, no matter whether your related industry is in demand or no you have to be expert in the field and know every detail of it. The choice you have made is your own and you have to love your work so more things you will know about your work, the more you will explore and excel in life. Before you approach your clients you should know the product well in detail and know its advantages over other products, there is no point in dealing with your clients if your niche is something else and the product belongs to some other industry.

It so happens many a times doing repetitive jobs sounds monotonous to some professionals and frequently they start feeling lucrative about the jobs they are doing. In any field the work would obviously be a bit repetitive in nature but handling wider varieties of projects can make your work interesting and as you start having deeper interest in your work you will start liking the so – called monotonous work you are doing and very soon you will become an expert in your field. You will be specialized in your field and very soon you will wonder as to the amount of knowledge you held in the said field and you may see more inquiries coming in then normal ones. As you specialize in particular area you can hike your fees along with the amount of quality services you should be giving to your valuable clients,

As a freelancer you can achieve lots more than what you had be getting in a normal nine to five jobs, you would get more experience, more exposure and more knowledge, but remember the niche you belong to and never change it for some more attractive offer. You can type in your suggestions or comments that would be of great help to our new age freelancers.

Starting business of your own is no easy job; it takes so much of grit and determination to arrive at the decision of starting something of your own, your very own enterprise and once the business is full fledged running, making more efforts to take it to bigger heights requires even more of understanding and practical knowledge of things. The moment you start to serve your customers through a business marketing unit you would be perceived as a person who will let achieve them the things they want in life, they are into a perception where there had be demands from their end and you would be fulfilling them. You had been judged at each and every step of your public speaking when you are marketing your products; it is almost heard by every person you talk about your products for selling. An item sells in the market only when it reaches the right audience and you get right audience by sheer marketing efforts.

The same phenomena occurs when you start with writing your own blogs or blogging network, people start having great expectations from you which will let them gain good knowledge from you. Your published words are practical pillars for people to move on with life by making use of your valuable words, these words are minutely scrutinized by people for the hunger of knowledge and you become famous by the text or advice you give to people. There have been loads of incidents in my life in which I have experienced ups and downs, there have been blogs of mine which people liked so much and other incidents where people criticized me heavily, but all these are part of the game. There have been blogs which people dearly liked and supported me in my teachings in the form of tips or advises I gave to them, but to make the most of your negative feedbacks is the trick, when someone criticize or speak bad about my blogs I think of them as the positive signs and find the areas in which I can improve upon.

When you get attention from public, through say public speaking forums, or newspapers editing or responses through emails you should think of that as good signs that people are liking you for your words, if you are being spoken of in public group that means people are thinking of you and paying attention to what you have to say and giving feedbacks relating to what they feel of your text. We have seen it’s a human nature to get attracted towards life’s most unavoidable things like watching people fight, or gossips or back biting, etc. if you take the negative thoughts of people into positive vibrations you will go a long way in future.

No matter a person may be highly successful in his business endeavors or business plans or project he is bound to make mistakes somewhere and would be a subject matter of talks or office related gossips, there would be time when a person would start having opinions about himself from the people relating to his office success. The more work you do, the more hardships you bear, the more success you will achieve in life and along with success there comes detractors who wouldn’t like you to be seen on the top and so find way to detract you from your achievements. And the fact is that when no one is talking or gossiping about you in the office there is the time you should understand that you are not playing your part well and something is wrong with your marketing plans or you are not putting enough to make your plans successful.

There are times when people do become emotional even I myself have experienced this in public where I was the focus and I truly knew that time what it feels when you are the subject of hate, you can get as much love and respect from your readers and similarly you can be hated too for your words which may be liked by some but hated by many. Try making the most of that moment when all are against you by sending positive vibrations to people and yourself, this is surely going to change the game. There are times when you are trying to portray something else, and there is misunderstanding in the audience, there is the time when people get to speak much negative about you when in public because they are all one. You should learn from your mistakes though, the things I have to advise you in this regard is, when you are hated by someone, remember that person has some pre conceived notions about you and he watched you in a certain way, a certain manner, so even if you try to make them understand anything they will use that as fuel for increasing the flame. Its obvious that they are enjoying attention from you and the public and they will do anything to make you down in public. Sometimes it so happens, that there is misunderstanding in communication, the medium of speech is weak so is not clearly heard by the audience and when you try defending your words you are simply wasting your time in public or online.

The internet is the best source to reach a wider audience and also remain anonymous at the same time, you can touch anyone’s heart without letting them know your real identity, so here you have advantage you can speak of anything personal to them and solve their problems and they would rather feel comfortable this way rather than meeting anyone face to face. This is the safest way a person loses his inhibitions and get into the virtual world where identity is not known and you can talk so intimately with another person of opposite sex or same sex, it is so sad that the time is such that people want to hide their real identity they have covered themselves in the virtual world of talks, feelings, emotions and work that there is no time left for anyone to meet up or talk to physically. But internet has bought around a complete change in the way people interacted, they are more openly revealing their true selves to other people of the same age group or other age grops. On internet there are no social conditions and no one is bound by anyone’s obligation its just a virtual version or real talks, people’s ego touch a new highs when they are virtual and they easily come out with feelings if they don’t agree to something they will say it online.

Now lets us see how to make the most of public flaming, its not that dealing with haters is easy, it requires a peace of mind and a common words of talks that will be helpful when people are mounted on you. Since years I have been dealing with such difficult people and while my experiences with them have been different every time I have come up with some conclusions which are common in all the cases:

If it seems that the person whoever is arguing with you has a weak argument and people wont pay much attention to him and if he is arguing just for the sake of it then just ignore him. They are just trying to grab attention from you and the audience so even if they get little response their target is fulfilled so forget about it and move on.

If you feel that a person who has claimed against you has done it in a sensitive place like a high profile blogging network, or websites which are attracting links from other sites then you should reply to his messages and haters messages and try defending yourself.

You might have felt that the option one is easier to accept as there is no harm to any parties and no one would be offended. The option two involves dangers as far as you get emotionally involved in it. The best way to state your opinion towards something is by being positive and stating your position in a matured manner, you should also try to avoid any personal attacks, most of the time you must have seen there are personal attacks done by haters so try to avoid them when you just stand still, you will look better in a public’s eye. When you respect others even when they are throwing mud at you that shows your level of maturity and your maturity is counted as powerful, slowly you can add up your mature thoughts and let everybody calm down. If only you have really done something wrong or offended someone in public then this could back fire, if you have really not done anything then you should rather be tension free this I have my personal experience attached with, once it so happened that I deleted a comment of a person I was not supposed to, that particular incident has taught me big lessons in blogging world, if a person has really something to say through comments, even if it means going against you, you should not delete them if at all you also feel strongly about your written statements then you too can leave comments regarding your feelings.

Wait for an opportunity when someone says anything negative about you, this is the best chance you can improve upon your mistakes and grow yourself at a more mature level and this golden opportunity will help you to showcase your talents, value, strength and the level of maturity. I am just freely talking to you all the things which I have personally experienced in my life, these are not just extracts if you let anyone talk rubbish about you, let them, in the end you are the person who is going to gain through it.

When you write any blogs you must have noticed how people agree with the whole thing written on blogs and how it happens when they don’t even agree to a simple thing. When you have your own blogging network nicely developed people from across the continents are reading your blogs, their comments, watching the interactions between the people, so many things are happening behind once when you write your blogs. Although people are not the ones who are running your blog, but they contribute it big way through a word of mouth, they might suggest it to their friends, relatives to read a particular item which they so dearly liked. And when your written words are accepted by the majority of people then no one can stop you from writing ahead and no one can blame you for your writings too.

The amount of people that you have with you is barely anything even if some portion of crowd against you, you built up for yourself such a mature position in networks that you don’t even get emotional if public speaks any shit about you. At the end you are a beneficiary, through haters you are learning to be more alert the next time.

We know one thing for sure that the opinions are subjective in nature and if there is no subject in the topic or comments written then its useless, what you have written may be right or wrong but that is not what others might be thinking of you. You have stated your opinions and that is the fact and no one can deny this fact, when you are blogging you have to stay true to yourself and to the job you are doing it. It doesn’t matter if someone doesn’t agree with you, you are doing your job right, they can share their viewpoints but cannot totally disagree with you. Its more important how you communicate then what you communicate your views in public, write words which are not offensive to anyone.

Don’t judge anyone while you are writing a blog especially when it’s a webpage you are writing for. This is the thing that happens with bloggers all the time they read the comments on your judgment, make judgment of their own and call upon that person without thinking logically or thinking from your point of view. They become emotionally attached to what they have to say and their opinions and so the attacks. When you face such a situation, remove sweeping judgments from your own reactions, don’t heat back and state them from where you are coming and what you have to say about a particular thing. In some cases, your friends might play a helpful role, there are times when you don’t need to say a single word your true friends will surely defend you in times of need, as you become more well known for your writings or make your blog lovers, there would be people who will defend you if someone has written bad comments on your topics. These are the people who love you the most, your true fans who will never let you down, your loyal regular members who love reading you.

Nothing is much powerful than a person attacking you, when you are attacked by someone in public, there is nothing you have to worry about, you have your own army of friends, fans, your loyal customers who regularly visit your blogs, they will definitely come and defend your view point. Avoid the emotional responses you get from people and focus on what you want to achieve through your blogs, let your already blog fans continue to read your blogs and share your thoughts with them openly. Stay positive throughout may whatever be the circumstance, stay focused to your own work.

This is the social proof and you have to face it, the feeling itself that other people are there to support you is a big enlightening phenomena that boosts your further work of writings, they care for your reputation and so are defending you what other support then this you require in your career path. Bloggers as free lancers are open to ideas and can write about anything they feel like, they are not bound by any conditions and can write their thoughts about something they strongly feel about. If you have helped lots of people in your life then you don’t even need anyone to defend yourself, your work for the poor and to develop someone’s skills will speak itself in blogs networks and so does your reputation. Internet is the fast paced media where a written statement doesn’t take too long to travel across the continents, you have your name in forums, public statements, your support team, your blog fans, etc. then you don’t need anyone else to take you to the path of glory.

Personal attacks keep happening when you are in a public eye of storm but that shouldn’t divert you from your work rather your love of writings, you keep writing your thoughts and one day you will see big fan base following you on the path of righteousness. This positions only arrives when you have a helping hand and love helping people, when you help people a bond develops and slowly that bond grows stronger by the day and a time comes they are very much your own people and they will defend you in times of need. You need not be selfish while doing all this, this should come naturally to help people, don’t do it if you are doing it for publicity.
