May be knowingly or unknowingly, you are committing a sin if you are in the business of blogging. Everybody has some aim in life and especially for a business person it’s more of a necessity to have aims because there is so much competition around, you have to compete otherwise you stand no where. Blogging business have no doubt opened up vast avenues to earn money but it has its own pros and cons, today world over there are millions of bloggers who are competing against each other to have the maximum traffic on their networks.

Blogs to some extent are problem some, everyday you have to get something or the other new or else you lose out on your audience. Although you might be a perfect blogger and religiously do everything to make your blog complete, there are some deadly sins that you commit while blogging, read further to know about them:

  1. The name blogging carries so much excitement in it, a person blogs for some reason to raise the publicity or to advertise. Once when you open up your blogs network, you go on and on until the day comes when even after providing so much of useful information you are not getting any response, then you start expecting from your audience, isn’t that a mere selfishness on your part to ask some favor in return for what all things you were

providing to your audience all these days. There comes a time in your life that you don’t want to give any more but want to take back something as a return favor, it may be advertisements, selling products from your site through affiliate marketing, or leave some good comments to attract more audience. In a blog everything happens with patience, you have to be very careful on each and every stage of blogging.

  2. You start a little bit of sluggishness as a blogger, a time comes in your blogging career that you just want to leave everything and hide in bushes, this is the time when your readers need you the most and you are out there wandering to hide your face from the public.
  3. Blogging success doesn’t come in one day; you have to be patient enough to enjoy the fruits in later part of your life as a successful blogger. Many people are so much impatient that even before one month passes, they start expecting big bucks from blogging but it doesn’t happen that way.
  4. Blogging in a modern world is totally different then what it used to be 5 years back, its more of money making today with so much advertisers and marketing opportunities. The content that you write must be attractive and interesting, if there is any sort of a lame feeling in it, the blog is not going to be successful.
  5. The identification is the most important things to be a

successful blogger, I remember the days when I started off, and how I wanted to be like my idol. Its good to have inspiration from the leaders you follow but in the real world you need to have your own voice. Be original.

  6. You may like varied topics to blog about, but the interest of your audience is what all matters at the end, get the topics which your audience are interested in reading, no one cares what your feelings are and what you want to talk about. Don’t show what is unimportant and insignificant; count on your reader’s choice first.
  7. After a period of time in blogging world, you become sort of rude or a crude person, I totally understand the stages you went through. Such stage comes only through one or the other sins that we discussed above, you might have done being a human may be knowingly or unknowingly. Be kind to your readers.

At the end I just want to tell you guys that you are the master of your own destiny and no one can take that pastry from you unless you offer it, so move on without any fears.

Nice post. Something eye opening. I agree with your 4th point. People are looking into blogging more as a way to earn money then express themselves.

Just as beauty is in the eye of the beholder, so sinning is a matter of perspective. The Ten Commandments of Blogging could be another cool title for a post in a similar vein to this one. Great perspective and insight from you Chris, good work man!

I agree with number 7. I am not yet rude because my blog is still new but I know some pro bloggers who are sarcastic. They don’t really want to share information, they simply want to beat you off with the SERPs. Kinda sad actually.
