Obsessed About Your Habits, READ ON!

HABITS! are the ingredients which characterize our lives, isn’t it? Different people have different obsessions in life and that are not just 4 or 5 but many. Obsession for something comes through a particular habit which drives our life force; we get entangled in the habitual net even without our self knowledge of that particular thing. Today, we the generation X, I feel, most of our times goes surfing on the internet as Internet, they say is the vast pool of knowledge and for enthusiast this is the best thing that can occupy themselves. Some may be thirsty for knowledge and more knowledge while some others like me may be checking emails every half an hour or checking for the visitors on my site or the number of tweets I get on each blog and there are others so many things even at home that you might want to improve upon some day. It’s the anxiety that drives you checking your mails especially with the blogging thing happening all over, you definitely can’t miss out on commenting or replying to the comments over your site.

habitsI have something very interesting for all of you here and I am sure you are just going to love that, as it will help you improve for the better. I know it’s not easy to get rid of compulsive (disorders) habits – as I will term it as because we are so blown away by that particular way of living it is nothing less than a disorder, if I may get it right. Breaking our daily rules and setting on the path of new life is no easy and there is no better person than myself to whom you can ask? It’s just not the problem with few of us but globally millions of people are suffering because of the obsessed nature.

As I said earlier, we ourselves don’t realize that we are putting on some bad habits that are ritually killing our time that is by no means giving you any fruits so why not drive that away, far away from your life! Its easy, if you really want to, believe me – I read a lot of books on self improvement and the only thing I can tell you in short is, “No one can change you, unless you want to”. So get that point clear, YOU yourself can only take some stern action that will help change the way or the meaning of life. Lets make it a little interesting, if you are getting difficult to organize your daily task that consumes much of your time then the first and foremost I had advise you the following:

  1. Prepare a to-do list for the day, or even a week.
  2. Set your priorities which are important.
  3. Think of all the bad habits that you want to change, list them out and try to eliminate each of them per week or may be a month; it shouldn’t take you longer than 6 months of time, getting rid of your habits, mind it! (If you don’t change it now, you’ll never so make the best out of your life!)
  4. Be determined to be a better and satisfied person, you can only be satisfied when you fulfill all your obligations.
  5. Try to make 26 hours out of the given 24 hours by taking out free time for yourself (that will drive you to do your work faster by not wasting your time).

You are changing not just your life but also affecting the lives around you, so if you improve and drag off your bad time consuming habits, you can spare much more time for your family and friends. Remember, the word HABIT, try eliminating the word “H” from it, and you will see:

H A B I T

H    -    A    BIT   remains.

So, take your actions from today itself and achieve your life goals.

Simple by writing a to-do list you will get a lot more done. True story (HIMYM) ;)

I read a great quote about something similar a few weeks ago. We are not what we say, but what we do. Way better formulated of course.

The idea of list is very good…but the important thing is we should keep following it..I have tried buts its just that sometimes you are so busy..you tend to skip those things…
