I have come across so many blogs and blogging networks and read few profiles of the blogger as to how they started off, and what is their secret to success, etc. I found out there is a particular way that impacts the reader and especially when you talk boldly it has deeper impact. The worst problem with bloggers today is that they are overly cautious about their dignity, respect and the content they write for their readers. Doesn’t it feel too artificial sometimes, the majority of you might agree to me with this fact on my hands, isn’t it?  I just want to ask a simple question to these bloggers, why can’t they be just normal, in real life, no one is smooth, calm, non-aggressive person as they portray themselves on the blogs network. Every coin has 2 sides, and so does the human nature, one is the professional nature and one is emotional character at home.

The bloggers today use various modes to get interaction going with their readers, advertisers and their investors – some might ask interactive questions in the blog and some might ask for comments or suggestions. The present generation people are too smart; wont they make out the artificial talks if someone tries to be overly friendly with them to gain something instead why not be straight forward and show them what the real person you are. That will, I guess bring them closer to you and as they will discover that connection with you, your blog will automatically be popular. People always find emotional connection with the blogger if they can connect to you as a person and not as a blogger.

I want to be very clear of what I want to tell my readers, be bold in your writings and let them hear what is unexpected this way people would get more attracted towards your blog, uncommon brings you more cheers and happiness and that stands true to blogging industry. Some bloggers waste a lots of time in collecting the words that wouldn’t offend any readers, but what’s the point, instead why cant they be straight and bold and speak what’s there in their minds, after all, blogs are all about talks – what’s in and what’s out.

The Top 1% of the bloggers earned around 20% of the total income.

Can you believe that? That means only 500 top ranked blogs earned $100 million!! It can be the most depressing news for the new comers, right? But it isn’t so. A typical day begins right in the morning at 6:00 am sharp, I have always advised my readers whether they are blogging part time or full time to write the blogs with fresh minds and what better time than mornings! In the back of my mind when I am watching TV at night, I continuously think over the topics which I want to write about and gather information at first hand so that my audience would be interested in my blogs. It’s just not about earning money, for passionate bloggers, they wont leave a minute details describing everything that they know and help you picturise the actual facts of the things. We spend even double the time you might be spending in front of your notebook. I know what it takes to be eye candy in people’s eye, you have to show your worth otherwise you are no where in the market of this utter competition. Most of the times, I research about the topics and come out with superior stuff I could share with my reader and sponsors always want to reach out to the maximum people I can and hosting a site is after all not free, optimizing it, maintaining it and put regular replies, you have to be awake with 4 open eyes to be at the top slots.

I remember, the days of my anxieties and till today I feel the same thrills putting up any new topic thinking over the response that I would get, the comments people would put in or some sponsor knocking in, etc. we bloggers have a time table of each day and each week, the topics that we write, maintain a to-do for a blog, what we are going to write in it and also write scheduled posts if time permits -  this is at least of what I follow religiously as a blogger and I feel every blogger should have planned things to be successful in life.

Writing scheduled posts gives me good kick as these are going to save me when I am out for some work, your blog have to have fresh content every 2 days or max a week’s time.

The life of a blogger has become a routine for me, like everyone else’s office duty this is my duty as I said. The biggest of all advantages is the flexible hours I can work through, remember some people have mood swings and so they cannot concentrate on their work, luckily I am saved from it even if I am not feeling good about something I make around when I am complete with fresh mind and fresh ideas.

Although the times are changing, I understand we need to change as per the times, the students who have started earning at young age or are doing business as bloggers they fail to understand that as much as they pay more importance to academics, it will give them good results in future. I remember my high school and college days where I was solely dedicated to books, may it be arts, literature, science or geography, people during those times took keen interest in studying, but who bothers now especially when there are so much options open to them?

Manage your time along with other chores of your life, do not procrastinate, as that will lead you to no where, I have often seen in my life the people who procrastinate – they do not have any life goals, they are behind from the crowd and have no sense of responsibility, once you stop procrastinating, you will automatically take charge of the things.
3. You know what differentiates winners from losers, “Winners don’t do different things, they do things differently”, the only thing that will make difference is by doing smart work, think over the ways you will be able to dedicate your time to both the fields.
4. You can maintain separate calendars for work/student life and blogging life, work calendar would contain all the details of your assignments and blogging calendar will have the days you want to solely dedicate to blogging, you can write various topics you want to write on, etc.
5. It’s difficult to get rid of your daily schedules, but you have to stick by the new schedule you had made in your work and blogging life. If you are a hard worker and have sole dedication to your work than no one can stop you. When you are disciplined, you will see you have more recreation time for you than you initially thought of. Take control of your time by not wasting your time and get things done before deadline.
6. Manage your time efficiently is the key to gain success in life, managing is okay, but using it efficiently is still bigger a question, make the maximum of the time available to you by dedicating your work time to work and recreation time to free time.
7. You can prepare a To-Do list which will help you long way in arranging your time schedule, you can dedicate each hour of your day to specific activity may be reading newspapers, writing for blogs, doing office project, time with kids, shopping, walking, etc.
8. Develop a routine that is ever lasting, get rid of your old habits and start afresh as if you are changing your life style and take control of things now rather they controlling you later.
9. Set your priorities, once when you are done with both of your calendars, match them to set your timings to particular activity in a day, it sometimes so happens something comes up urgently and you have to drop your usual plans, in such cases you have to give time to what is most urgent.

I hope by now, I have made myself clear of how to balance work life with blogging life. A work life is a work life and blogging life is a blogging life, understand this difference and you will automatically take charge of things, its about how much really you want to achieve in the world of blogging. Your work life is going to be forever but if you are looking for something different and want to have fun interacting, then blogging is surely the way. I have seen people make 30 hours of 24 hours in a day, now you had wonder how? The answer is by, using your time effectively and efficiently, prioritize your daily routine tasks and do them as needed, if some office urgency is there, leave your blogging life aside for some time that will only make you stronger and active in both the fields.

It’s been now a really long time I am into the world of blogging, I myself don’t remember when I started, perhaps at a very young age I had this vision of reaching out to the great entrepreneurs, talk to them and discuss ideas. Since last 2 years or so I have been pitching about my business ideas to big successful entrepreneurs and journalists, some of them did come to my rescue while others having busy lifestyle actually had NO reason to listen to me after all their business is much more important than mine. I got stuck with an idea of writing then, writings about successful pitches which differed far away than those which dint make any difference! Well, here is what I found out –

We have often come across successful individuals, who talk less but do more as the saying goes, “Action speaks louder than words”, I often think how successful entrepreneurs carry on with so many things at one go, then I got the answer its all about actions that matters. One of the main reasons of successful pitching was keeping it short and sweet, in our fast paced life no one has time to read long emails, letting all the details in just few short paragraphs helps as they are simple to read and up to the mark. You can share with the entrepreneurs the essential details what you want to put across without letting it look like an essay, we know that people are busy so make comfortable reading for them by putting lesser words and more meaning to it. And if by reading simple details that impresses them, they are surely going to mail you back for more details, isn’t it fair?

No matter how much ever big the enterprise, they will need people at your positions to work for them, you can state in your mails, easy agreements through which they can hire you for your talents, I have seen pitching does helps in this, as here you will state your qualifications and past achievements. Reach out and let them know of your qualities and you will get quick response if they are interested.

It’s very important to state a clear message in your headlines, this is the line that can impress someone to read further or simply delete without proceeding ahead. Write specific thing in your headlines; put your message across in few words. I know for small entrepreneurs, achieving the above stuff might not be as simple and easy, I have myself experienced some instances in which I have sent same mails to two different entrepreneurs, but got ignored by one, its all about individual perceptions too, that matters most of the time and the way you present yourself to the companies.

1. Start blogging with the intention of long term plans, just don’t start with blogs just because you don’t have anything at present. Some bloggers leave blogging because they see no income is pouring in, but let me be clear, blogging doesn’t give returns in a single day, it might take weeks, months to pick up traffic on your site. if you are real fanatic about writing blogs then head out, and have no intention of earning money, when you are selfless of anything you will see how dollars pour in! don’t just count days that you started your blogs, come with fresh content each day on your blogs that is all for you to get going.
2. Its fun when you are interact with people over the blogs, they get to know you better and you also get to know who your loyal readers are. May whatever you should blog about, touch people’s heart by your written words, today the fast paced life has made us so easy, a king word, a word of sympathy and caring words might just make someone’s day so make people around you smile and make a difference to your world of blogs. Remember, you are on blogs networks because you have to serve people with problems, or for the people who are looking for some product info, or write a review of some movie or help some cope up with stressful life. A person cant stand lonely for long time, they need interaction, when you interact you know more and helps both the parties to understand each other better, it’s a win-win situation for all.
3. Being personal is not any offense as far as you really write an offensive stuff about some entity, by this I mean you can give a personal touch in your message to your audience through which they will feel important and wanted and that is fact if you don’t have audience who will read your blogs, engage yourself with them and blog that will let them feel so close to your blogs. Connect with people and let them know your real self, people are just not thirsty of words, they need a kind support and good friend too, you can be one of them!
4. Once when you have started with your blogs, its not enough to stay back and keep writing, your blog needs new fresh stuff to be written each it could be about current events, celebrity events, new products launches, reviews and interviews of big company officials, etc. but that can happen only if you step out of the house and meet people. no one is going to come and give you a ready first-hand information which you will publish, ofcourse, you can even get them through online news but when you personally go and feel and see and meet, it makes all the difference in the way that you will write your blogs. Don’t be a spoil sport of things, head out and socialize, participate in events and attend bloggers gatherings that will give you new insights of things happening around you.
5. Building your brand is not easy but also not impossible, it becomes easier when you brand yourself, now this doesn’t mean you need to advertise about your blogs, but you can create it yourself by working sincerely for your blogs. A work becomes famous only when its attractive and people will get attracted only when its worth reading, so write creative stuff and let people enjoy your readings. Don’t go on searching for the loyal people who will read your blogs regularly instead concentrate on making a positive impression in front of them that will attract them more to you and your blogs.
