After you have spent a lot time and effort in the planning that is involved to achieve a successful website, the last thing that you want, is visitors coming to your site, only to leave the site and wander over to one of your competitors.
To prevent this from happening, it can be very helpful to review the following reasons why many websites have lost revenue that could have otherwise been earned, if prospective customers had not chosen to instead buy from competitor sites. In doing so, it gives you the chance to take the necessary measures needed to see that these problems do not ultimately interfere with your success.
Lack in having a professional design – If the design of your site is second rate and not created in a professional manner, man times individuals will move on to other sites that are presented in a much more appealing design.
No clarity – If the information on your site is not provided in a clear and informative manner, many times visitors will not be able to find the answers to their questions very easily and they will move on. Most are looking for precise information and want precise answers.
Navigation that is poor – Often times a visitor on your site will become easily frustrated if the navigation on your page is inconsistent and confusing to navigate around in.
Content that is outdated – One of the biggest disappointments visitors notice very quickly, is when not much time or attention has been spent on a website to ensure that it contains content that is current and up-to-date.
Pages loading too slowly – There are some individuals that do not like spending a lot of time waiting for a site to load. In fact, if more than three seconds is needed, there are some that will give up and move on and find faster loading sites.
Advertising – Sites that rely on money earned from advertisements through Google AdSense are of course expected to have various ads placed on their site. However, for online businesses that rely on revenue earned from specific products or services, it is important that advertisements are in fact maximizing the amount of leads and revenue, or if they are driving visitors away.
Sites that bring on the Zzzz – If your site contains nothing but boring information that loses the interest of your visitors, you can pretty much bet that they are not going to stick around for long. Successful sites need to contain as much interesting and exciting content as possible.
External site links that lead visitors away – Links are placed on a site for a reason, and that is to take people to a variety of different places on the web, including those that sell a variety of different products and services. If you place a ton of external links on your website, then it is natural to expect at least some of your visitors to follow these links. It is suggested to place links on your business websites that offer information that is relevant, but it is also important to find balance in those you select.
Sick of no page ranks?
We all know that blogging is among the most advancing activity of today on the internet. Search engines are looking forward to blogging sites which is one of the reasons that now everyone is stepping on to making blogs. Now a question arises that if everyone is advancing on the idea of creating blogs how are they going to achieve their target. There is a simple answer to it that is you just need to fill your blog site with good content. It does not matter if your on-site optimization is not up to the mark as you can still come on first page if you have done adequate amount of off-site optimization. The back links that you gather on your blog can prove advantageous to you as your blog will get on to the first page faster.
Follow the below simple steps to get on to the first page:
- Detailed Composition of Your Content: A very effective way of coming on the first page is that post detailed content on your blog. This helps you to register with the SERPS faster even if your post is few hours old. The reason being that the more content you post more the search engines crawl on your page and if the content is fair enough, no one can stop your blog on ranking first. You have to go along with adequate amount of on-site optimization because this does help when you want to come on the first page. On-site optimization tools include content writings with killing titles, attractive headers and use of illustration which act as a key for blog writings.

- Use relevant title for your Writing: Mark one thing in your mind that you have to always give a relevant title to your writing or a story or whatever you are posting on your blog. Now you may wonder why? The reason is using relevant titles get hold of your readers as they exactly get what they are looking for. Now you may think that how can the use of relevant titles give you a high ranking? Well make one thing clear that using relevant titles do prove beneficial to you but if your relevant titles or heading contains keywords relating to your writing, its obvious that your blog is going to rank high. So make it a rule and follow it adequately.
- Try and have media back links for your blog: It isn’t necessary to have back links on your new writings or stuff like that but it would be a great help to you if you manage to get some good amount of back links. This comes under off-site optimization. When i am talking about getting back links does not mean grabbing the links from the normal sites. They are not going to help you on a large scale. You have to try and get the back links from social media sites with high-traffic. More will be the traffic more will be the enlistment of your blog. You will only be able to get such back links of your content is upto the mark. So do follow this instruction wisely.
- Go along with SERPS: Going along with SERPS does not mean that you have to look what search engines are looking for, what i am trying to convey is that you should post the content on your blog which is in competition with the SERPS. You have to make an effort and search with the web regarding the same and get your loop holes out. If the competition on SERPS for a particular topic is high but the results on Google are less in number then you have higher chances to have a highest rating for your blog. This will be a sharp move if you get to find one such topic or as many as you probably can.
- Be Sharp On Giving Titles and Headers: You have to be wise enough to use your titles in context with your content. This helps in better understanding and also gives an effective impact to your blog. Make sure that the headers you use should have keywords in it. I won’t stress on it but if you could manage to add some keywords to your headings it’s going to help you greatly but at the same time it does not mean that your heading should be stuffed with the keywords, you just have to make it look natural and attractive enough for the readers to get hold of it and for the search engines to make your blog ranking high.
These steps are not difficult if you get the clarity and feeling of it. We all know that hard work is the key to success. So don’t be a work-shirker and try to follow these steps in a systematic way and wisely then see how things are going to change for you.
Enhancement of your Blogging Ability
Clarity of Thought:
You can only teach and explain your readers if you are yourself clear of what you are explaining. That is the main principle before you start teaching. If you don’t have full knowledge and know how of what you are teaching there is no use of explaining it because it is useless.
You have to master on your topic which you are explaining on only then you can achieve perfection in your teaching.
Once you have hold on this the second step is communication ie. how you can converse it with the readers.
Use of Examples and General Concepts:
One of my buddy analyzed that readers actually like to be told what they should be doing. This is an effective way of writing an article. Use of general concepts that we use in our day to life with specific and well explained examples not only make your article interesting but also help the readers to understand what you are trying to convey them. These are the keys of communication with the audience.
Use of illustrations:
Using illustrations here mean use of hand made diagrams. This is the best way to explain your article to your readers. Use of diagrams make the thought more clear and bring in the clarity of thought of what you are trying to convey in your writings. Use of illustrations is something which most blogs don’t make use of but this is the most important step if you want to make your blog attractive. People will admire your work and amount of effort you are showing on your blog.
Be like a Web Writer:
You should learn how to write like a web writer. Web writer is a person who writes article and publish it on the internet. You can write like a web writer if you know what people are looking for. To make it easy for you try reading Jakob Nielsen’s web site where you will find guidelines on how to write an effective writing.
Stop acting like a Link Snob:
Bloggers are mostly afraid of sharing links with other blogs reason being they think that this will lead to less traffic on their site which is absolutely bogus. Sharing links increase traffic only if your content is worth reading and is systematically presented.
Your main agenda should be making your point clear so that the audience could understand you.
