A marketing technique used by search engines to help advertisers is known as Pay Per Click (PPC). These advertisers choose specific keywords or keyword phrases that are very important to their website. The “search engine results” page is called “sponsored links” for which advertisers place a bid for a specific position in the area for a better chance for their website to be visited.

pay per click advertisingSimple to set up, but requiring constant maintenance, running an effective PPC can prove to be challenging. When an account is set up it is called a PPC campaign. If not maintained properly, the advertiser can be bankrupted as quickly as overnight. So, to effectively help with getting started in a PPC campaign here are some of the best strategies.

  1. Keyword Research: Researching your keywords and keyword phrases to find out how many are related to your service or product is a great place to start. Don’t forget a group of secondary keywords as well. They may help bring up your rate for sales.
  2. Need of a Great Landing Page: This will be the first page your visitors will see when they click on your advertisement. It needs to be attractive and easy to maneuver. This is not your home page, it cannot be, but it will lead them to your home page. Your home page represents you and who you are. The landing page focuses on the product or service the visitor is interested in purchasing.
  3. Advertising Specifically: Your creative ad should be specific about your product or service. Your pricing list should be visible too. This will make finalizing the sale easier if the visitor clicks on it from your advertisement. However, you can lose the space if you deviate from this information.
  4. Know Your Conversion Ratio: When your advertisement is clicked on, it will count how many clicks were simple visits and which ones were sales or returns. This information will help you to manage your PPC campaign most effectively.
  5. Wise and Prudent Bidding: When bidding on your advertising position, take into consideration the amount of clicks (visits) to the amount of returns (sales). Make changes to your bids for a few weeks. This is helpful when deciding which placement is best for you and your budget. The right spot should have little problems in helping you to stick to your monthly budget. Remember, the top may not always be the best place to be.
  6. Keep Your Logo Yours: Be sure to check to make sure your affiliates don’t use your logo or brand name in their advertising copy. It will affect your own branding and advertising copy.
  7. Competition Strategy: Watch and study competitors’ websites. You may need to make changes to draw attention to your ad. For instance, make offers or discounts in exchange for visits to your advertising site (PPC).
  8. Remember to Monitor: You must constantly monitor your personal PPC campaign. The challenge is that the competition will eat you alive if you slack off. You may have to adjust your bid frequently in order to get the most return (sales) on your investment.
  9. Keep It Up: Make sure you adjust your bids and advertising copy occasionally to frequently. Get rid of those ads that are not proving to be a good return. It’s an ongoing process. You must treat it as such.
  10. Realism: You must be realistic in your expectation of the whole picture. Overnight millionaire isn’t going to happen here. You will not be able to get leads if your website doesn’t do your company justice. What if your prices don’t meet the requirements of the customer? Make changes to get the sales you desire.

An effective PPC campaign can generate a great deal of additional income for your company when done properly and consistently. Remembering it does take time, effort, and research in order for you to get the most out of your PPC advertising. Just follow the above examples for your set up and management of your PPC and you should do well.

Affiliate Marketing is a very useful, popular, and productive technique that is used regularly by a large number of merchant websites and numerous website owners, to each have a way of earning shared revenue that is earned by using this well known method of marketing. Simply stated the advertisement of a merchant website is placed on the site of a website owner that in turn offers an additional way for the merchants products or services to be sold. As individuals click on these advertisements, they are quickly directed to the website of the merchant, bringing potential customers to their site. In exchange for placing these ads on their sites, website owners have the ability to earn more revenue by sharing the profits that are made by the merchant.

Affiliate Marketing can be a very effective method to use to earn extra revenue coming into your business site, and three ways to achieve this are listed below.

affiliate-marketing
  • Pay Per Load – When potential clients click on the advertisement and then register for offers or products on the merchant’s website, a pre-determined amount will then be earned and added to the website owner’s affiliate account.
  • Pay Per Click – A website owner has the ability to earn pennies or even dollars as prospective customers click on a merchant’s advertisement that has been placed on a website owner’s site. The merchant’s products and commission amount usually determine the amount that will be added into the affiliate account.
  • Pay Per Sale – When a website owner places advertisements on their page and it results in a sale for the merchant, a commission, or percentage is then placed in the affiliate account of the website owner.

These methods of earning extra revenue have become increasingly popular in the world of cyberspace, and they are an effective and easy way for website owners to earn an extra income that does not require that they actually do anything. The only requirement that is necessary is that the website owner simply place an advertisement pertaining to the merchant’s products or services.

Affiliate Marketing is an excellent choice in advertising techniques and campaigns that ensure a merchant’s name is seen all throughout the Internet. The more websites these ads are placed, the more exposure the merchant will receive. This method is a different approach when compared to other forms of advertising because it does not require extra actions to be taken to sell the products or services.

If you are a website owner, and you are contemplating the idea of trying your hand at Affiliate Marketing, there are a few things that you will want to consider. The advertisements that you agree to place on your website will need to be chosen wisely. By opting to place ads that contain popular products that are widely used, you can expect to earn a lot higher amount in earnings than you would with products and services that are not widely recognized.

Website owners have the potential of earning a considerable amount of money through Affiliate Marketing, as long as an adequate amount of research is done on the business advertisements that you are considering to place on your site.

Sincerity In Your Blogging

Remaining sincere while working in a world full of individuals who are only concerned about self gain, are often factors that make it much harder to become a successful blogger, and remain sincere all the while. Anyone that wants to be a successful blogger must be sincere and be aware of the people’s needs and desires. Four major points will show how powerful sincerity is.

  • Commenting – Spam, everyone knows what it looks like. It is irritating and full of links and comments not related to your own site. Self-praising posts are signs of them not being sincere. A sincere comment will explain what they like or do not like. Some comments are only for increasing their reputation for SEO or with other backlinks. It may also include a “pay per click” link. A sincere comment takes a real effort to contribute to the article with a positive slant or a negative slant. A negative comment can contribute to the article by pointing out points that you may not have considered. It does not matter what you write as long as you care about the subject matter, are sincere, and it is written in a manner easily understood.
  • Collaborating – A lot of emails sent to me or other bloggers request that we add a link to their web site. This type of comment does not take any thought or intelligence to write. There is no personalization in this type of comment. When bloggers collaborate it is because they have something to contribute to each other’s blog. The next time you communicate with a blogger, use their name, explain what you want and the reason behind your request. The bloggers want to know how it would be beneficial to them and you. Do not use too much flattery. That sounds like you are trying to “butter them up”. Remember, your previous work will be looked at and evaluated. You want to work with someone that likes your work and believes that you have something to contribute.
  • Writing – It can be very hard to keep up with daily posts, time spent for blogging and living your life. Always remember to give your readers a sincere and true attempt at what is contained in your post. It is dishonest to cram in an article or post just to be posting. Take your time and carefully form your opinion and thoughts and then express them in an appropriate manner.
  • Designing – Your design or layout will reflect your honesty or sincerity. Do not hide your links, overload your page with advertising or disguise your affiliate products. Readers want to receive valuable information from your site and do not want to be confused with advertising or hidden links. Advertising is a way to increase revenue, just keep it to a reasonable amount so the reader does not get lost or confused. Offer a clean layout that allows readers to enjoy the work that you put into the site.

Remember the things you should not do, but do not forget the things that you should do. Review your work and evaluate it for readability, honesty and sincerity. This will create a community of bloggers that will continue to return for more information. As you leave comments worth following, it will bring more traffic to the blog.
