As we all know that Twitter can drive quality traffic to our site. Some of traffic driving tricks are organizing contest on your twitter profile, connect your blog to twitter page or ask another user to propose your profile. There are so many strategies but before they drive traffic to your site it is important to have good number of followers. When I registered to twitter I was initially having problems in having large number of followers but gradually I used the tips which I am going to tell you guys which helped me improving the twitter followers and now I am  having quite a number of followers which is resulting in quite a increase in the traffic on my blog. Because these tips helped me to increase my followers, I thought of sharing with you.

Here are some simple tips to have large number of followers:-Have a complete Biodata of yourself on twitter. Don’t leave your biodata blank; write about yourself, so that people who wants to follow can know about you and your company. When you leave your twitter page or other vital information blank, it doesn’t hearten people to follow you.

• Most easy tips are to follow more people so that you can get more followers. Try to follow those people who shares same interest as yours.
• Tweet your followers and encourage them to retweet.

• Links as much as you can. Add your link on your blog, your dig profile, facebook profile and everywhere you can exist on internet. This tip really helped me a lot.
• Learn about # hash tag. You can tweet about your passion, your achievement. If people like your content they will surely be encouraged to follow you. Uniqueness does matters.
• Make your twitter profile as a forum for discussion. This will help people to visit often and keep your twitter profile interesting.
• Take care of your followers: You should focus on the people who are already your followers. Share your interests with them. Keep tweeting them. Others people who are following your followers, would surely notice your regular tweets and can be your potential followers.
• Tweet regularly: You should have consistency in posting your tweet, but remember that your tweet should be unique and interesting.
• Follow top twitter users ;learn from the leaders as they say. Analysis how they tweet and how they are growing their number of followers.
• There are many twitter directories available like Just Tweet It or TwitDir. Get listed in such directories according to your profile. They have different categories. This will help you to find more people of same interest and thus you increase your followers.
• Try to add pictures of current affairs or new gadgets. You can also tweet on current affairs .This will help to get you more followers.
• Make habit to use FriendFeed to update your loyal followers about your tweets. You can also use your email signature, it do work to attract followers.
• Start puzzle, contest or quiz on your profile, this will help in flow of responses and thus more number of followers.
