How do Google ads become noticed? How is Google alerted when someone clicks on one of my ads?

There are a number of things that help our system to better determine which ads will need to be placed on your site. The content on your site, keyword frequency, linguistics, size in font used, and the structure used for links. As ads on your site have been clicked on, they are recorded in Google’s system through a signal they receive. In turn, the information on your account is updated and you are able to view information such as earnings that have been made.

What do CPC, CPM and CTR mean?

Advertisers pay as users click on their ads and are based on Google Adwords price system that results in the CPC or the price that is paid. CPM is the specified price set for ‘cost of 1000 impressions’. Each time their ad appears, the advertiser then pays the specified amount. CTR simply refers to the amount of clicks that is then divided by the amount of link impressions. Every time A CPM ad is sent to a publisher’s page, revenue is earned.
