Hello everyone, in this video we will talk on how to build a semantic kernel for SEO promotion free or charge. Let’s start by talking about what keywords are. Keywords are words and phrases that describe the pages of your website for search engines the best way possible. The closest analogues: hashtags in Twitter or Instagram Synonyms, terms – key words, keywords, keys, semantics, queries. A semantic kernel is a set of keywords for your site. We will use the following two tools when assembling a semantic kernel: this is an Excel spreadsheet or Google Docs and a free software named Slovoeb. Slovoeb is the younger brother of the Key Collector program it is free, but it has trimmed functionality. Start collecting keywords from brainstorming: open the table and start to write down keywords of your business. It can be thematic queries, associations, terms, synonyms, bilingual queries, in general everything that comes to your head. Collect not too general queries and don’t collect the so-called “tails”.
That is, if we wrote the keyword “PVC windows” then writing “buy PVC windows” is no longer needed we will gather these words in the next steps. The next step is to analyse the competitors’ websites: look at the look at the sites in the top positions of the search engine results go to them and start looking for new keywords for our list pay special attention to the headers, page names, category names, service names and articles. All new keywords go to our table. Next we will use Yandex wordstat. Yandex Wordstat is a Yandex service for advertisers that helps to find new keywords and shows statistics of usage of user’s requests in one month or, as SEO-specialists say, frequency.
It consists of the search bar, to which we enter the request, left and right columns. The left column shows the search results and the right one contains similar queries requests for the keyword that we entered to the search. The frequency is shown for each request and the frequency of the first query is equal to the sum of the frequencies of all queries below.
We start entering the queries from our list one by one and looking to the right column. The right column will show similar queries and you will be able to see some new keywords. After we have analysed all the requests, we go to the collection of search hints. Search hints are the query options that appear as you type, we have to collect all the search hints for all the keywords that we have collected in all the previous steps.
It is quite difficult to do it manually, so Slovoeb software will be useful for this step. On how to use Slovoeb, I told in another video, the link to this video is now on your screen, as well as in the description of the current video. Now let’s talk about Yandex wordstat operators, the operators that allow to get more accurate information from wordstat. If you enter a query without using an operator, the total query frequency will be shown; if you use quotation marks, you will see the frequency of queries without using additional words if you use an exclamation mark, the frequency of requests for this word form, including queries using other words will be shown.
Finally, the most accurate frequency is obtained if you use quotation marks and an exclamation mark. We start entering each keyword to the search bar of Yandex wordstat one by one we write the keywords using quotation marks and exclamation marks We put exclamation marks before each word without spaces all obtained as a result of search, queries and their frequency. We do it until we run out of queries in the first table. I’ll tell you what to do with the queries and their frequency in the next video.
When we will talk about filtering, grouping and building a site structure. If you liked the video – put your likes, subscribe to the channel. Good luck. .
